tftpd-hpa --------- tftpd-hpa uses systemd socket activation. Specific listening addresses can be configured by overriding ListenDatagram= in tftpd-hpa.socket. To do so, use `systemctl edit tftpd-hpa.socket`. The default configuration prevents creating new files. To allow that add `--create` to TFTPD_OPTS in tftpd-hpa.service. To do so, use `systemctl edit tftpd-hpa.service`. The old /etc/default/tftpd-hpa configuration is not supported since tftpd-hpa 6.0. With Compaq Professional Workstation XP1000 machines acting as clients you might need to use "-r blksize" option to inhibit OACK being sent out as they reply to regular TFTP port instead of the port where OACK originated. This is SRM firmware bug on those machines. Many thanks to Steffen Grunewald for tracking this down. -- Chris Hofstaedtler Sat, 29 Aug 2026 12:47:30 +0200
